I googled thrift stores one day and Camp Hope showed up on my page. So glad I found this place. All donations go to people's living in the camp. I'll be donating to them always now. Intake helpers are so friendly and seem so thankful!! They have a list online of things they need!! Hope this reaches many people in our community!!! Have awesome wonderful day!!!

This place has been a tremendous blessing to my family of 8. We were staying in the woods, in the snow, in a RV with no power. I know some people have a negative mindset about this place but in my experience here, Mike is doing an amazing thing here! I have not seen any drug activity and there is no alcohol allowed. And if there's ever an issue, the staff is on top of it, maintaining the safety of the people living here. They serve us a warm meal, provide a clean shower facility and keep up the bathrooms. This holiday season, Mike, the staff and the yakima police department purchased every child and teenager brand new bikes, helmets, and bike locks along with an abundance of toys for the kids and also presents for the adults. I'm so thankful for this place. The staff and gusts are so welcoming and all look out for each other. Now my family has stability so that dad and I can start working to get back on our feet after being chronically homeless since the beginning of the pandemic, when my husband lost his job ♡

Winter clothing sick as scarves and gloves and socks and costs are helpful.
Not really my opinion of the place sucks
Oh...8am to 8:30pm. The latter is curfew for residents.
Currently, the shower water is frozen, due to recent weather changes. Working on insulating the pipes and getting the showers up and running again.
Yes, as Gloria said, dinner is provided. However, at around 10-11am, staff picks sandwiches up from SOC and delivers them back to Camp Hope.
On the 3rd of this month camp hope is moving to the mission on 1.st for 2 weeks so if youre trying to get a bed go to the mission and walk in the back of the parking lot. A staff member or an intern should be working and theyll help better assist you.
Yes they are in needs of a Lot's of donations they also need more heat and Power
No they don't but once a month they make a sign up list and take you to a laundry mat. Or sometimes they will donate you 5 dollars so you can wash a load.
Yep they'll help you out
Yes
Kristi Google camp Hope Yakima and it will give you the information from there.
Non aggressive pets and must be on a leash
I know they have some rv/trailers at Camp Hope, but contact them. They are wonderful people that will help you and your situation in any way they can.
They could always use blankets they give them to everybody that comes here new an to the people that are already here when they need them an to help out the other shelters around town
Call 211. They can give you info on almost anything.
When I went they had cats and dogs maybe call them
They really don't. If you do a little googling, the place has been in trouble for assaulting and stealing from residents, and operating a religious organization with government funding. They only exist to fill beds and get payment from the local government for those beds. Two of the employees never missed a chance to hit my friend up for money or cigarettes, when we checked in and they were going through our belongings. They even begged a pair of our jumper cables around midnight once and several times afterwards. They'd get pretty petty if either of us said no.
they have access to housing authority but they are not that helpfull
No, you do not have to leave in the morning but there may be a curfew at night. I know they allow pets, but I dont know what the rules are. They are very kind. If you can get over there, they can explain everything to you. There may be a foster program for dogs. Call the Humane Society about that.
Yes camp hope is still open and will be open until the end of june they are trying to make the 1702 Englewood Ave address permanent.
