Alejandro Lopez December 20, 2021 Thomas House Family Shelter I’m writing this letter to Thomas House Family Shelter for your welcome assistance during one of the darkest moments in my life. September 30, 2021 is a date that I will never forget. Thomas House Family Shelter not only provided me with a place I call home. They have changed my life tremendously. I'm very grateful I’m not sure how I would ever be able to repay everything that has been provided to me and my family. Christmas has always been my least favorite holiday since I was small, but this Christmas living at Thomas House has left a mark in my heart forever. The amount of support and dedication that is provided by everyone here is really heartwarming. I’m not sure where I would be without Thomas House in my life. I want to say Thank you to everyone that participates in this great program. I want everyone to know that these are the best moments of my life surrounded by loving people that are always looking out for us. It’s an amazing experience. I’m always going to be part of Thomas House Family Shelter. U will see the love I have for this lovely program that changed my life dramatically. Sincerely, Alejandro Lopez

This place is an INCREDIBLE source of support for folks experiencing homelessness. They provide counseling, job assistance, classes, budgeting guidance, food, clothing, diapers... everything! By far, I have been more impressed with this organization than any other of its kind.

Definetely you can donate it there:) just call the main office first wich the number should on google. Andthank u for you're Donation:)
No, they do not offer service on a random basis. Thomas House Temporary Shelter has housing for families and there is a process and a wait list to go thru.
This is a place that accepts people who've got children, either couples or single parents...with children.
They should call the number for Thomas House...only thing is that this won't likely be something that will be able to immediately assist her. It's more involved....what will happen is that she'll call and get a recorded message and on it, she's going to be asked a few questions and then she'll have to answer the questions by leaving them at the beep...what happens then is she'll just wait to hear back from someone at Thomas House. What i suggest is that once she's left her message explaining her situation is that she call that number back every week or so..she's gonna get that same recording but she should just remind them of the initial message she left and say that she's following up and that she is still in need of a place Once they have an apartment open up. . ..and to continue doubt that until she hears from someone. Once she gets a return call from them...it'll be basically like an intervier...it's most likely they will ask her at that point to come and meet them and so on.
I know that when i applied there, i was told to call their number, i would reach an answering machine that asked me questions about my situation and left a space for me to leave my answer to their question. I went thru ave completed that recorded questioning and was told to wait until they got back to me. I waited for 1 week and then i placed another call to them. I then proceeded to leave a message communicating that i was still looking for a place to stay, briefly reminded them of my situation ava left my phone number and name. I did this once a week until they finally called me one day about 4 weeks or so later. They called to let me know they had gotten an opening and that i was to answer a short group of questions in that phone call and also would need to go in and interview with them tbe next day. I went... I was sent right away to give a urine sample for a drug screen...and once that came back clear...i was moving in. My advice..call, tell them your story, call each week
Yes, they receive all kind of donation, even time, especially for holidays season like help with the decorations, wrap gifts etc.
Apparently from what my homeless son says the shelters out there are ALL full. I guess sleeping on the sidewalk is the only alternative. 211 gives names and phone numbers for shelters that are full. City net does not return phone calls or messages when you push the button need help because they don't have answers. I'm sorry for ALL of the people that need a place to lay their head. All I can do is pray.
