I’ve been going to Shelly’s for the past two years. The past two visits have proven to be my last. Used to be you could get seated and served pretty quick, the food was hot and tasty and the prices were great. They all changed about six months ago when the man who ran the cash register was not there and neither was the waitress we always had. Two visits in a row the food was questionable at best. The service is slow and the waitress seems to care less if you get your food at all. We went yesterday for lunch. Papussas and an order of tacos. Waited 40 minutes and had to ask twice where my order was. The papussas were great, the tacos were awful. Greasy and very few toppings. When it came time to pay I waited another 10 minutes in line while they took care of a carry out order. Not like they are short staffed. Plenty of people working but they just can’t get their act together. On a side note the booths are dirty and the walls are marred up with food stains. Not a good look. I’ll try the other spots around town but won’t be back here.

Great food worst service was calling and they would not answer any of my calls went to the place 5min after 8:30 and said they were not taking any orders, I showed proof of my calls started at 8pm trying to place my order. Literally one of the employees said The kitchen is closed no more orders close the doors and I was literally lined up and there were a few people in front. I was really disappointed of this place been coming for Years but I guess is under new management.

Oh the sopes are yum. I visited at least 4 times in two weeks. The bad reviews are from fools. Everything is made to order. So you might wait 10-15 minutes. The owner is behind the counter cooking. So you do get Shelly's cooking. I have my favorite food at certain places. The Carne asada taco on flour is tender and pleasing

Best Mexican food I've ever had! (And we used to live in Colorado). I've eaten here twice now (if we lived closer I'd eat here multiple times each week). I was kind of afraid I'd built it up too much in my memory. Nope, just as good as I'd remembered. Fantastic food, handmade, right off the grill, with optional homemade habanero sauce if you like a nice burn.
