We had a wonderful experience with WonderDog Rescue! Both my partner and I and my sister’s family found our sweet forever pups over the past year. I am caring for a perfect senior senior pit and chihuahua mix and he’s become the love of my life. We were both first time dog owners and both Linda, the founder and Moriah were incredibly supportive, warm and kind throughout the adoption / forever hospice foster process and continue to be to this day. They are a small team and do the very best with so much work on their plate so please be patient and considerate. All of their focus is on the well being of theirs dogs. They do so much amazing work esp. for at-risk, elderly and special needs dogs in the community. Our entire family is so fulfilled and happy with our perfect pups and the care we have gotten from this organization! I’d recommend everyone to explore fostering and adopting from them.

I placed an inquiry/interest notification for Rosie the Boston Terrier featured in their listing and never received a call or email from them. I called a couple weeks later to follow-up and ask if they reviewed my information and to ask if Rosie was still available. I was told that there were a lot of applications for her and they thought that there was someone approved to adopt her already. They would call me once they reviewed my application. They never contacted me and Rosie is still featured on their website as available for adoption. I'm a 52 year old dog groomer and have a lot of experience with dog handling and care. So, it's not me.

This is long overdue. Moriah and her team and are nothing short of amazing. Moriah, I can't thank you enough for all your assistance. You are truly one of a kind and have such an amazing organization. I love that you and your team genuinely care about dogs and do everything in your power to ask all the right questions and make sure they go to the right home. Unfortunately, for me the timing wasn't right but we truly appreciated Moriah and her staffs patience, compassion, and work ethic. We hope to reconnect in the near future and will definitely refer friends & family who are looking to adopt.

Our 'available for adoption' dogs are in foster homes, so yes, you can contact us on our web site if there is a dog you are interested in meeting.
I do not work at a rescue but when I got mine I had to show residency with pet friendly or medically accomodated documentatiin on my lease. While I NEVER recommend buying a dog on craigslist there are cases where people list animals needing to be rehomed. This is a good place to find a dog, and again as long as its not a puppy for $ as that is illegal in sf (for animal welfare). Lastly, there are ways to be with animals even if you cant take one home just yet, Wonder dog takes volunteers. It's a good way to get to know adoptees and managr the challenge of shelter life while working. Good luck in your search for a dog and a place to live. I know what the shelters are like and I hope your stay need not be too long.
Wonder Dog is the wonderful spot for senior dogs! Also the type of dog is highly desired so I'm sure she'll be adopted ASAP. make sure to bring all her goodies and anything unopened or slightly used to donate and keep your dog happy while in transition.

No Wonder Dog is a senior dog rescue. PLEASE still rescue even if your looking for a puppy as buying creates markets for abuse. Animal Control is the first stop for animals, many puppies end up at the wonderful SPCA near here.
