They seem to be in the process of tearing this place down. Probably the best thing to do. I only go here to make deliveries and earn some money. The whole place smells like urine and was in obvious disrepair before they started tearing it down. I believe there have been some deaths on this property as well. Overall, an eyesore. If I knew I'd be delivering here, I would pass, but it's not always obvious, however the people have mostly been nice. Maybe they can start fresh with a new motel or other business.

Stay away. Not worth it. Lobby smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The exterior was in pretty bad disrepair. When we received our room, the heat was not working at all. (I could see my breath) and half of the lights did not work at all. Kindly asked for a new room, the front desk politely gave us a new one. I went to check out the new room, and was smacked in the nose with the strong smell of cigarette smoke in a non-smoking room. The heat did work in that room thankfully but the room was a mess. Hair on the sheets, cigarette burns in the sheets, crumbs on sheets, and it was obvious that they had not been washed in a while, as there were dirty spots on them. The bathroom was a mess, with dirty towels and a dirty tub. Realized quickly that there was no way I was staying the night there. The front desk politely refunded us our money and I was able to find a room at a much nicer place not too far away. Avoid this place, I’d rather sleep in my car over this motel.

I decided to stay at the Motel 6 in Lexington Park MD for a fishing trip. I figured it was a place to lay my head for 5 hours before we had to get up and go at 4:30 am. At about 3:00 am the light above the center bed detached from the wall and fell on my cousins head. I went to check out at 4:30 and let someone know so they wouldn't think I damaged the room, but no one attends the lobby at that time. There was just a note on the door stating to come back later. After my fishing trip I went out of my way to return and speak with the attendant. He said he was aware of the issue and they were taking care of it and I wouldn't be charged for the damages. 1 week later I have a 100$ charge from Motel6. I call the location and they apologize and said they would reverse the charge. 4 days later I call again because the charge still isn't reversed. The lady says it takes 7 business days. I gave it 10. Still charged 100$. After calling back multiple times with promises of reversing the charge I gave up. I just decided I won't ever use a Motel 6 again and will make sure all my friends and family are aware of the sub standard rooms and service

We booked our 2 night reservation a month in advance. When we arrived in the evening it was immediately clear a mistake was made choosing this motel. It should be condemned! The lobby has a foul odor. There are buckets to catch water that's dripping from the leaky ceiling and the chairs are so dirty I wouldn't sit in them no matter how tired I was. The 1st room they tried to give us smelled like a lit cigarette and the lady said it was a non smoking room. Not a single room there has a sign that says non smoking. Meaning... smoking is allowed everywhere on property and it's evident by all the butts scattered wherever you walk. The 2nd room she "upgraded" us to had another odor that was unidentifiable and the air wasn't blowing cold but by this point I was already looking around at other nearby hotel rates. Long story short...we got the hell out of there and went to the Comfort Inn right down the street. Also got a full refund, as did a gentleman in front of us at the desk. I don't care if it was free...I wasn't sleeping on those stained sheets or breathing the air in those rooms for another minute. For the record : I've stayed in Motel 6 before(in Florida during hurricane season) and never had any issues! They were well kept properties on the lower end of the spectrum as far as amenities etc. but I also didn't fear for my health and safety like this Maryland location had us doing.
