East Coast lovin'

First time here. Asked to sit at the bar without realizing it has about 4 seats and constant traffic behind you of people being sat and people standing talking to the bartender (who says she is the owner), and other people waiting for to go orders. The prices are very high for the amount of food you get. 3 crab stuffed small capped mushrooms for almost $20. Whoa! Also the bartender shakes everything except the few drafts and bottled beer. Manhattans shouldn't be shaken. We literally saw her shake every single drink. The drinks are also outrageously priced. I've been to better restaurants with better drinks that are priced accordingly. I was hopeful for this little place with strange decor because there's not much in Southwick, but after what I've witnessed I can't return. Also watching an employee give the owner/bartender money for a tip is absolutely illegal! Unless I was mistaken the older lady with short hair behind the bar said she was the owner and she took money from someone in a uniform that was leaving for the evening. Completely illegal for management to take tips from employees. I hope that's not what's happening but I also hope her staff knows it's against the law, just in case. The best part of this place was our male server. He was attentive, kind, gave great recommendations, and made us feel welcomed. He is the shinning star of this establishment. The bathroom is also extremely clean and smells great.

This is our favorite place for fine dining! Everything you order is fantastic. Always super fresh and tasty. Vegetables are not an afterthought…they are always done to perfection. The family dinners to go are also fabulous! It’s as clean today as it was the day they opened. Very impressive!

Got a take out order from here for the first time... ordered butternut squash ravioli, BBQ pulled pork quesadillas, and house made potato chips (with rosemary, parmesan and truffle oil). Wow. As great as we expected!!!! Can't wait to try their specials in person!!! Staff was delightfully friendly .. and their Thanksgiving menu makes me wish I didn't have to visit family!!!!! Can't wait to try it again!!! <3
