I know why these chaps are the best spot in town. No, unfortunately it’s not because the food was mouthwatering or the drinks were scrumptious…it’s because there’s not a single shred of competition in a 50 kilometer radius. Thank the Lords and Ladies for that because these guys would be outta business faster than frying an egg in Nevada on a hairless man’s back in the middle of the summer. We had a private event here…which was supposed to be open bar. Welp, I guess we got swindled cause drinks were definitely not free and I guess music wasn’t either…it was so quiet, I swear I could hear the flys eating the stale ham in the corner of the chaotic, clustered front entrance. On a positive note, the view was breathtaking…if you’re able to look past the oddball characters endlessly wandering around the property…clutch your pearls ladies and hold tight. Your pearls aren’t the only things you’ll have to hold tight…keep those bladders fully closed….it’s a jungle in those bathrooms…and this ain’t your child’s jungle book I’m talkin about, lads. God bless. You’ll need it when trying to sit down in the broken chairs out on the deck. Once the event was over, we booked it outta there and hightailed it back to civilization.

The French onion soup was vegetarian friendly and delicious. The black & blue burger was cooked perfectly.

I booked The Lakehouse Townhouse on Expedia and I got an email telling me to go The lake house inn to pick up key for my room. The gentleman told me we were staying here instead because there was no one to let us in our original townhouse. So when we went into our room it smelled really bad ( musty ) and not sanitized. There was animal hair in the corners of the rooms and under the beds. Not at all Covid clean. Food was okay, waitress was very nice. We would have left to stay somewhere else but kids were hungry and tired and kind of spooky outside. When we got up in morning there was no one around at all, no cars in parking lot either. The website said free breakfast but there was nothing. Well because no one was even there. All I can say is “DON’T stay there.

Unfortunately, I cannot report anything good about The Lake House dining. We were out on the lake and decided to pull up and grab lunch. We were seated after waitresses walking past us and barely greeted us. We ordered our drinks and then our food. Our drinks came but the food never did. We sat for almost an hour and nothing. The waitress didn’t come back once to check on us or to at least offer to refill our drinks. I don’t even think they noticed when we left. We left money for our drinks but we were no longer waiting for food. The place is run down and they didn’t even bother to tape off the outside walls or poles when they spray painted the deck. It’s unfortunate because this place could be making a killing. We’ll make sure we bring our own lunch next time we’re on the lake.
