One of the most beautiful hidden gems in the area. Gorgeous park. Something for everyone. Hiking, scenic views, long stretches of green grass surrounded by lush trees and orange or grapefruit groves. Easy trails also. One of new favorite nature time places !!

Reached Mission point summit. The view gets better as you keep climbing up. You will see great view of SF valley. Trail has a fire road which is forgiving. Beautiful place to hike for the whole family.

If you like a very vertical hike this is the place for you.It has a park before the hike trail. Parking is a short walk to everything. You will pass some lemon trees and a bathroom on the way to the trail. See you at the top😁

Took a loop around the mountain. Followed another reviewers suggestion so i went counterclockwise took me bout 2 hours to complete. There is a good amount of incline. After reaching the top it's mostly flat. Friendly people around this location

Yes, like the others have said. Drive uphill on Sesnon (the same street where the entrance to O'melvany park is) and near the top of Sesnon, make a right on Neon Way. It's called the Mission Peak Trail via Neon Way. After a block or two there will be a culdesac and a fireroad that leads up to Mission Peak. You can actually take the fireroad all the way to San Fernando Road in Santa Clarita, although a few parts are single track, there's only a few hundred feet until it's wide again. You're looking at about 1200 feet elevation gain (when you're already at 1100 feet elevation to start.) It's about 2 miles or less to the top of Mission Peak. 6 miles to Santa Clarita. So you can go there and back in a few hours depending on your level of fitness. Just remember going all the way to Santa Clarita means you will need to climb back up another 1200 feet or so. The ridge that runs between them is about 4 miles, which you can do and turn around before you start going back downhill.
Yes. I have lived near this park for the past 20 years and there are definitely snakes. Rattle snakes in fact. Keep in mind your chances of running into them is way higher in the begging of the year in spring time but keep in mind that is not to say you won't see one year round.
On the basic loop around the grassy area probably. If you want to go further on the trail you need a stroller with rubber tires that have traction (like a mountain bike). There are quite a few bug and bees right now so a stroller screen would be a good idea.
Definitely! For the lower trails at least! If you go higher it tends to get steep
There is residential street parking across the street. Last time I was there the lot was full and I parked across the street. I didn't see any "No Parking" signs.
I don't know
Yes there are some rattlesnakes especially in the summer
No. park closed at night. Residence within park occupied year round.
