As far as parks go - meh, as the kids say. Nice soccer fields here, though, with play areas for kid. Nice, paved path for dog or people walking (throw a leash on Gram!), and the pavilion area with tables is decent. Not really a park for sight seeing, getting lost in nature etc.

My son's favorite playground the park itself is very big and there is a great smaller playground for younger kids and the sandbox is huge

No there is not an ice rink.....buttttt Ellison park floods out one of there parking lots and you can go there to skate
