Signed my 9 year old daughter up for a recurve bow archery lesson and she had an absolute blast. The instructor, Leo, was incredibly welcoming and took special care to make sure she had a good time and learned proper form and technique. The shop is impressive and the range is clean and safe. Highly recommend!

Leo was a very patient and fun instructor. He started us off with safety and how to hold the bow correctly, then he showed us how to properly aim. While we were shooting he observed and gave us tips and adjustments. The best part was the mini games and fun targets he would put out like balloons and cards. I would definitely come back with more friends!!

Taylor was amazingly helpful. He took so much time and effort to make sure that I had my bow and accessories dialed in perfectly before a big trip. So glad I made the drive down here from out of town since my local shops weren’t nearly as helpful. I can’t speak highly enough of the staff at Performance. The best part is that even though I’m new to the sport, they never talked down to me which happens at so many other shops. I’m definitely coming back and it’s worth the drive.

By far my favorite bow shop in Southern California. They helped me along with my first bow right out of the box which I didn't even buy through them three years ago, so when I upgraded to a Mathews last year, I knew exactly where I wanted to purchase it from. Their staff are very courteous and helpful to beginners, selection is amazing, and facilities including range are very well maintained. This place will have my business for life and I look forward to taking my son here for his first bow.

Hi Rick, If you have your own equipment there is no lesson needed to use the range. If you need rental equipment, you must first take a Beginner Archery Class here at Performance Archery. Once you have taken the class, you can come rent equipment anytime during open shooting hours except Saturdays. Lessons range from $30-$40 per person and are an hour long.

Hello Matthew, We do not carry any type of Mongolian Horse bows. We have a full line of traditional recurve bows, long bows, recreational recurve bows, and compound bows. All of the bows come professionally fit to you along with 2 free days of shooting on our range when you purchase from us. We hope to see you soon!
Hi Mark, Unfortunately crossbows are not allowed on the range. I am not sure anywhere in SD that does allow them too be shot other than on private property. Best of luck! Phaen
