Summary: My GF and I really enjoyed this restaurant and would recommend to anyone! Definitely try the meatballs, they are to die for. The lasagna and scalessa pastas were also great. My GF and I stopped at this small restaurant in the Highlands of Wilmington on the way down to Maryland. We are so glad we came. The staff was super nice and helpful in telling us everything about the menu and recommending us the best things. The other staff was friendly in asking if we needed anything and creating a really great environment. We came around 7:30, so 30 minutes before closing, and we weren't rushed or anything. Prices are good and the food is amazing. There is street parking, though the street was filled when I came, as well is restaurant parking. Meatball App (10/10) - Best meatballs and the best red sauce I've ever had!! This is a must-get if you aren't planning on getting an entrée with meatballs. This comes with two big meatballs in red sauce with ricotta cheese. I am usually not a fan of ricotta, but it was really good here. When they said they have the best meatballs, they are not lying. And I regret not getting an entrée with meatballs. Broccoli Rabe (8/10) - A solid appetizer. The broccoli rabe was really great and I think was a perfect starter. I found it to be on the oily side, but the flavors were great. I would choose the meatballs over the rabe though, for sure. Chicken Scalessa (9/10) - Really great entrée dish. It's super unique and I've never had anything like it before. It was served with the cheese gnocchi, which was delicious. I think the gnocchi here is really good! Back to the chicken, it was tender and tasted amazing. I really liked the sauce it was served in. And the crab on top was a great add. The crab on top had actual crab and added a unique and delicious taste to the dish. Meat Lasagna (10/10) - Soooo good. My GF got this and she loved it. The layers were perfect. Everything in this dish was perfect and made it super good. Must-get! Cannoli (10/10) - Best way to end off a dinner here. The cannoli was delicious. One of the best I've had. Another must-get All-in-all, my GF and I really enjoyed the place and are definitely going to come back. I would recommend them to all!

Wow! Where do I start with this review?? The welcoming picnic tables on the sidewalk of the flower-lined streets and the friendliest waitresses EVER (especially our waitress, Rose!) only served to enhance what was probably the best Italian food I have ever had! Don’t miss Grandma’s Sunday Gravy (with pork butt and sweet sausage) over Rigatoni or the Homemade Gnocchi Verdi served with crabmeat, spinach and tomatoes in a light broth. They were the lightest gnocchis ever and my husband drooled over the deliciousness of the Sunday Gravy! Our meals were served with a perfectly dressed garden salad with a sprinkle of fresh Parmesan cheese. Everything was so good we ordered three extra dinners to go! Tomorrow we will sample the Eggplant Parmigiana and the Spaghetti and (award-winning) Meatballs. We WILL be back!
