Nice campground. The grade getting there is steep so be prepared

The campground itself was ok with spacious sites, but the asphalt on the roads and the sites was horrible. All sites are pull throughs that are not level. The road to get there is a trip with lots of curves and steep inclines. The lake is beautiful and we enjoyed paddling our kayaks there. We had very limited Verizon service. Our cellphone booster didn't help.

Pros: beautiful scenery and quiet, boating seems popular, clean bathrooms, covered benchs, grassy area. Cons: no swimming area, the roads are steep and narrow and all dirt.in and out of the campground and very switchbacked, No phone service or Wi-Fi, small spaces and cramped, no place close to get wood or ice (come prepared). Our daughter loves to swim. Unfortunately there is no place to swim unless you are going out on a boat. The closest town is 45 minutes away in Orofino and there was not cell service even in town (TMobile) also maybe the closest beach was in orofino according to the volunteers. The suspension bridge is beautiful and the area is scenic and quiet. The roads into the campground are super narrow, steep, and all dirt/gravel and have random cows on them. The campground is cramped and there is a lot of traffic in the campground. Overall it wasn't as family freindly as we had hoped. If you are looking for rustic RV sites and have a boat you will enjoy it. We probably won't stay again.

Beautiful Location very remote. Army Corps of Engineers campground as usual very well thought out using natural materials, beautiful location. This campground is small but has full hookups 30/50 amps, water, sewer. Wild apple trees and wildlife all around and fishing. Nice hiking trails beautiful views of the water. Very nice double launch ramp, fish cleaning station, restrooms. Camping $20 a night everything else free WOW! The road getting there has steep grades and tight turns I made it with a 36ft 5th wheel take it slow it's worth it. Sorry no internet but cell phones do work.

Camping at Dent Acres requires a reservation and we do not accept cash or checks at the campground. Reservations may be made one of 3 ways. 1. Call 877-444-6777 to make a reservation with a live person 2. Go online or utilize the app for your phone at Recreation.gov 3. Take a chance (a big one) on a site being available when you get there. There is a direct dial phone that is located at entrance booth. Pick up the phone, and wait for someone to answer and book your reservation with the person.
Yes
Sunday and Monday last week it was completely clear. Tuesday and Wednesday it started to get a little more smokey. I think with this storm coming through the next couple of days it should be cleared up again.
There's parking for your truck and trailer but the boat docks are high and dry. The lake is down about 50 feet now. The boat ramp is still in the water.
No wifi
Sites are not all tent friendly, some are much better than others
yes, you can ride quads from your site, and can access roads, and eventually trails.
