Ramsey's Diner - Harrodsburg Rd

My wife and I drove to Ramsey's Diner at the recommendation of our Bed & Breakfast hostess. Even though it was Sunday afternoon around 3pm, the restaurant was pretty full. We ordered a hamburger with fries, and the Southern Style Catfish with mac & cheese and fried green tomatoes. The food was delicious overall, especially the corn fritter hush puppy item which came with the catfish and the creamed corn. Our server was very gracious and brought us a small plate of creamed corn just to try, since it was our first time at Ramsey's. When we realized the mac & cheese was not good and asked her if we could switch it with another plate of creamed corn, she took care of our request immediately. We left feeling very full and my only regret is that we don't have one closer to Louisville!

They were busy for Sunday lunch but my girlfriend and I were able to be seated immediately. Ordered the hot brown, she had chicken and dumplings. Both were great and came out quick. Big portions as well.

Long standing, well-established diner in the Lexington area. I had the veggie plate which consists of your choice of four veggies, from a wide selection, with two cornbread sticks("real" butter instead of margarine, would've been a much tastier option for the corn sticks.) The creamed corn is yummy. The entryway, dining area and restrooms could definitely use a spruce-up. Overall, good comfort food, with tasty coconut cream pie.
