A winter season 4PM check in is to late for check in with it getting dark so early, especially if you have to drive 12 miles to town to purchase supplies. Upon entry to "Moose", a beautiful, remote log cabin (we stayed here 4-5 times prior to this being a Vacasa property and on-site management was wonderful in making sure we had household supplies, firewood, and clearing trails, etc.), the floor did not look clean. I wiped the whole floor down on my hands and knees and it was not clean. I have pics to prove this. The place did not have a "deep cleaning" as advertised. There were two kitchen towels, two rolls of toilet paper, no Kleenex, one roll of paper towel and 3 pods of laundry soap for a seven (7) day stay. We did not have firewood for two days. As dusk approached and we were closing our blinds, we noticed we had no coverings on a full length glass door and another half-glass door that looked directly into the bathroom. We were fully visible to anyone/anything. The previous coverings had been removed, for whatever reason. There were multiple holes in the casing (again, we have pics). I went out in the cold and attempted to call Vacasa to inform of this issue. But, NO CELL SERVICE HERE - another safety issue if something were to happen. I managed to get in a spotty call to "Sterling" who seemed concerned and called back and left a message that I received the next day when we came to town. I spoke with "Mike" at Vacasa and told him of our safety issue and he said he issued a work order and I even gave to permission for maintenance to be done if were were gone. As for supplies, he said Vacasa furnishes a "starter kit" for renters. That's a first for me. In addition, the dryer needed maintenance as it took about 4 times to dry a load of clothes. In the dead of winter (February) we had ONE extra blanket for 3 beds. Well, during our $1, 500.00 seven day stay, we hung our sheet and towel on the doors at night and purchased our additional supplies. We never heard back from Vacasa by phone, text, or since we have been home. We paid almost $600 in for "Fees" for what? We will do our best to avoid any future Vacasa vacation rental.

Cabins are nice, location is great, employees are non existent, snow was built up over the top of the hot tub, ice was built up on porch, bring your own salt to melt ice it’s not supplied, they don’t plow the road in and out of the cabins so be prepared to work to get out if you want to leave, if you want to walk around you have to shovel a path, WiFi is alright in a couple of spots in the cabin, there was 7 or 8 pieces of fire wood on our porch there’s more by the fishing shed but have to dig your way to it and dry it out before you can use it

New management are thieves. We've brought our kids here for years but will never use them again. The property is now managed by Vacasa. During the transition to this company, I was charged a $550 deposit for a reservation that I was told could not be completed. After a month of wrangling, Alex Fetterman at Vacasa promised me a refund check that was never sent and then ghosted me. Nobody would talk to me until I took to facebook to complain. Then, the answer was "sorry, we tried, but it's between you and your credit card company now." This was AFTER their employee told me he had worked on the problem and resolved it and was sending the refund. The property itself is ok, but the management is either lazy or liars. Either way, I don't want to do business with them ever again.

You have to book through www.vacasa.com. That corporation took over the rentals for the property.
