We went through the drive through. My burger wasn't cooked all the way and they forgot our fries. We went back to the drive through and they acted like we were trying to steal fries from them and asked to see our receipt. We won't be going back.

I stopped at the East Peoria dive thru ... yes during the lunch hour, yes on the wait. Thing is, I ordered 2 cheeseburgers with mustard and ketchup, but got 2 with m/k, pickles and onions. Worse, both buns were right out of the fridge, just outright cold. So if ya can't produce 2 simple cheeseburgers to order, with some semblance of hot, or even warm, why are you open? Last visit by me for sure.

I placed an order on line 30 mins before closing time. I was in a hotel in the same parking lot as this Steak 'n Shake and it took me 1 minute to walk to it. When I arrived 10 minutes before they closed when my food was indicated as ready, the drive through was closed. The manager was counting the drawer at the window and she rudely yelled, "we are closed",............. 10 minutes before closing time. I told her I placed an order on line and paid for my food already. She communicated with a worker in the kitchen and eventually handed me a bag in an antisocial way. I realize she is manager, but she is not owner. even if she was, why would she close the restaurant 10 minutes before the advertised closing time? What is going on with this place? i will NEVER return.

Tonight's visit at Steak and Shake pretty much made me decide that I'm more than likely never going back here again. We pulled up to the drive-thru at 8:04pm. and there were three cars in front of us. By the time we made it to the box to order it was 8:27pm. Twice the girl told me to go ahead with my order and after I requested the first thing she told me to "hold on" both times. I'm thinking maybe she had been a new employee or something because she kept stopping and asking the woman that she was working with questions. When we finally got our order placed we pulled up to the window at 8:43 p.m. it was the other lady that our order taker kept asking questions. She went over the order and asked a few questions herself because our order wasn't properly taken. When we got home we opened the bag and realize that the barbecue sauce we had asked for was open and spilled all over the inside of the bag and inside the chicken strip box. We also notice that all of the fries were half full and they were soggy and cold, the Patties on the burgers were so thin & small that it was pretty much just a bread sandwich and lettuce was dark green wet and Soggy. It was probably the grossest meal I've ever had. I'm not usually one to call and complain but I think I'll be calling the manager in the morning. I'm disappointed that I had to write a negative review I enjoy doing these reviews on Google Maps and 99% percent of the time they are all positive feedback. I can't believe that I waited as long as I did and that drive through I'm really not sure why I didn't leave to be honest. I'm sorry it had to end this way.

I agree there is one waiter that has worked there forever best service hands down can't say same about take out or drive up tho

Sometimes during busy hours, like when many people are coming in from bar close time it is hard to get to everybody as quick as a company would like to.
No alcohol ever and half price shakes are 2 to 5 Monday to Friday
