Best cruise I’ve been on! The crew was amazing and friendly. We did the 4 hour whale and puffin cruise and we all had a really great time. We didn’t see any whales but plenty of sunfish and puffins. The boat ride alone was worth it as it was so relaxing and fun. Highly recommend.

Great ride in beautiful weather! We got to see the harbor and explore out a bit further. We did the whale watching tour which was about 3 and a half hours long. We only saw one spout, so we were given passes to come back for free. Even though we didn't get to see a lot of whales, the staff was friendly and kept it a fun ride! We'll definitely take them up on another ride when we're back in the area.

We did the 1:30 whale watching tour. The staff was incredibly friendly and the Naturalist on board was great at explaining local landmarks and creatures of the sea and air as we passed them. The facilities were in good shape: clean bathrooms and a decent grill (with both soft and adult beverages). We didn’t get to see whales that day, despite the staff’s best efforts (they even extended the tour a bit to see if we could have luck later in the afternoon), but the bird lovers on the trip had a fantastic time, and it was lovely just being out on the water on a beautiful day. One important tip: WEAR AND PACK SUNSCREEN and set a reminder on your phone to REAPPLY. The cool wind on the boat can trick you into thinking your skin is not crisping when it is. Stay hydrated, bring binoculars, and have a great time.

Very fun and interesting harbor cruise. The captain gave a nice guided tour, and the crew was very friendly. Cruising the harbors and seeing the various islands and lighthouses was beautiful. It was fun to see the seals, and the lobster trap haul was very interesting, and the crew explained everything nicely. 100% recommended!

If it is cheaper online, then not by much, so you might as well buy at the harbor...

June and July are the best months for whales. However they are spotted frequently enough in May.
Hi Marilyn, some options for you - you can check out Grays Campground http://www.graysoceancamping.com/ on Southport or Shore HIlls http://www.shorehills.com/ in Boothbay. If you want convienience, the parking lot at 42 Commercial will let you park there, but it will be $30/parking spot your camper takes up per day and you'll have to get there before 9AM to get a spot. Regardless of where you park, we look forward to seeing you!
Went a month ago. Saw seals, harbor dolphins, minskie whales. No big whales, sadly. Recommend going but you may not see the big whales. Make sure the water is not rough. It was calm when we went.
Hi Ann, that would be the Pink Lady II departing from Pier 7 in Boothbay Harbor!
Yes - we go rain or shine!
We were there the end of July and the first of August. They were very active.

My wife and I was there one year ago , had a wonderful time have many pictures of the whales we had encounter, had a wonderful time
It will usually be about 5 to 10 degrees cooler out on the water than the temperature on land. It could be or seem cooler if there is any beeeze.
Pufdin, whale cruise is a must do and great experience and day on the waters. Could be cool, jacket would be nice most days. Many, many wonderful shops, gifts, and bookstores. Check costs carefully as the same item essentially varies greatly in price around town. The art trail road on the back side of town around the bay and time in shops and galleries is a MUST. The shops themselves and the art are great.
this is on the midcoast, south of bar harbor.we are located in boothbay harbor maine.thanks Capn Fishs Cruises
Not sure, I know there were doing foliage rides. I am not sure how late into the season however.
Our tour lasted 4 hours we seen about six whales five dolphins and a few seals playing around. We had a great time.
