Thoroughly enjoyed time out on the marsh canoeing with my brother. We were blessed with the most beautiful morning, and were so excited to be outdoors surrounded by such an amazing ecosystem. Excellent family and educational activities, supported by a great staff!!

My family and I (3 generations) have greatly enjoyed visiting here over the last several years since my folks moved here from Downeast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are lots of educational goods availa le here including a great shelf of used nature books. Can't get much more quintessential than Maine + canoeing!

Views are great, but the building is a mess. Rotting wood, peeling paint etc. Doesn't look very safe

Was a lovely trip and great experience! The facility was well maintained and the staff were kind and helpful. The marsh itself was beautiful and filled with stunning wildlife.

Sounds wrong to me too, but a little Googling reveals the Marsh is a MDIFW Wildlife Management Area and hunting is permitted with a permit and under certain conditions. You could check with Audubon whether any different rules apply.
