This was the first time we stayed at a place like this and I was very disappointed and will never return here. The owners were very nosy and kept asking me questions about my kids (trying to get more money) and I felt like I was being stalked. The lake was not fishable because the swimming and all was one. Didn’t want to hook a kid. And u couldn’t even see the path to get down to the lake at night. U have to pay to take a freaking shower! The people next to us had over three vehicles and more than 8 adults there and they were loud we had to go in our camper (get charged 30.00. For each adult) there was nothing to do at all there for the kids.. I have never stayed in a place where u had to pay per adult and child over 15. U can’t bring ur own wood. Have to buy from them. The fire pit was on uneven hill and there was no way to sit around the fire with our kids

Beautiful nature trails and streams. Lake has fish that do actually bite, as well as safe swimming area. Owners are very helpful, as well as guests are polite and quiet. We love to camp here. Glad my fiance and I found this wonderful place.

Excellent - the 'bunkhouse' worked really well for our large group. Very clean! The kitchen was super - well supplied with appliances (large & small), the dining room was good size for the large group, and the back decks were nice for morning/evening times with everyone. The owners were very accommodating. Bath house also very clean and well maintained. Our kids really enjoyed the play ground too. "5 Stars" !

A campground is not about luxury. It is about being clean, quiet, and run by caring owners. Lake Hill hit all of the marks for me. I just spent 5 nights in the Bunkhouse with a group of 18 volunteers from South Carolina. Julie and Paul (the owners) were great hosts who wanted to make sure we had what we needed. The grounds were well taken care of, the bathhouse was clean, and it was always peaceful. Being close to the Tri-County Triangle Trail for a daily run/walk was an added bonus. Please ignore the negative reviews and give it a try for yourself. My group is looking forward to being back at the campground in 2017!!! Thanks Julie for a great get away.

If you are looking for a place for a picnic, we really don't offer that. We do offer day camping, you pay the same rate as if camping, but, you can come in early, as early as 9am, You are able to do the same as if camping, including fishing, catch n release, swimming, hike in our woods, or go to the bike trail that is at our entrance and leave your vehicle on your site. check out would be 9pm.

the basic cabin is a one room cabin, 10x12 with a full size bed, a bunk bed set, but the bunks are slightly less wide than a traditional twin, a small dorm size refrigerator, a microwave and a A/C. there is no plumbing but they are about 100-150 feet from bath house.
