Probably one of my favorite breweries I’ve ever been to. Some friends and I were making our way back from the mountains to Charlotte, and took a detour to stop here. Well worth it! On a nice day this place is impossible to beat with all the picnic tables outside and a food truck with some really good pizzas. The beer was fantastic, and the atmosphere and relaxation of sitting under an umbrella with good beer and friends is an adventure of its own. Can’t recommend this place enough! If you’re driving out west from Charlotte or even remotely in the area, this place has to be on the list of places to stop at.

This place is magical. Some of the best lighter beers I’ve ever had. Delicate but bold flavors, and smooth. So fresh. Amazing view of The Valley below Shortoff Mountain. Fire pit. A sea of picnic tables. Just beautiful. If we lived close, I’d be a regular.

Fun place to relax and enjoy the afternoon. Has a fun mix of beers to taste. Pizza food truck dough (tastes like homemade naan bread) is amazing. Favorite was the pimento cheese and we ordered more!

Very nice brewery with a decent outdoor seating area. Staff is very friendly and helpful, beer choices were pretty good. Biggest complaint is they don't allow growlers, apparently over quality concerns. I find this a little ridiculous, as most of us who use growlers know how to store and use them. Draft beer from a growler is still preferential to cans.

More than a dozen picnic tables spaced 12 to 15 feet apart. Very safe. Enjoy it was a wonderful experience!

Hello! We have some great local offerings as far as snacks go, but currently do not have a kitchen or a food truck schedule. You are more than welcome to bring food in if you'd like!
The tasting room at Whippoorwill is currently under construction and we hope to have it open to the public in late spring/early summer. In the meantime, come see us at the tasting room in Downtown Morganton and enjoy the wonderful libations being created in the new brewhouse out at Whippoorwill as we speak!
