Me and my wife stayed at big leaf. The cabin was very clean. Not far from Nolin river or Mammoth cave. Their are 2 queen beds, I think they are full beds, very comfortable but very noisy. We stayed 4 nights and had a great time.

Nice clean cabin in a wonderful setting. We stayed at Big Leaf for 5 days and just got home. Our boys loved sleeping in the loft area. Short drive into mammoth caves park using the ferry, takes about 20 minutes to reach the visitors center. We'll be back for sure 👍

We had a great time. We stayed this past weekend 12-14th. The cabin is clean, secluded, and comfortable. It was the atmosphere I was looking for. We didn't utilize the outdoor grill or the fire pit but I liked that it was there. The hot tub was fantastic. The food at the Hickory Grille was good. Great prices. We didn't want to leave. My husband and I had a peaceful weekend getaway at Hickory Cabin's smallest cabin--Nutmeg. We have no complaints whatsoever. The amenities were as promised (even when that meant that the owners had to empty, clean, and refill the hot tub just before we arrived). The cabin was comfortable and warm. The cabin is also located on a disc golf course (which will certainly take advantage of the next time we come to stay). With the government shutdown ending right as we arrived, we were also still able to visit the Mammoth Cave visitor center and go on a cave tour. (We highly recommend visiting the Park as well; great hiking trails, nice visitor center, and informative tours.) When not relaxing at the cabin, we spent our time hiking or visit the host family's restaurant (a small, very informal, diner-type). It was inexpensive and very family-friendly (although not necessarily healthy), and we got to know the host family. Overall, we had a WONDERFUL time and highly recommend Nutmeg or working with Hickory Cabins for your next getaway!

I am sorry but we do not have any pet friendly cabins. Our cabins are 7 miles from the visitor center by using the Mammoth Cave Ferry.
Currently we do not provide pet friendly cabins.

In addition to Mammoth Cave tours, Diamond Caverns, Hidden River Cave, Horseback riding (Double J Stables next door), Nolin Lake 5 miles from cabin, 18 hole disc golf course on property, Mountain bike trails at Mammoth Cave National Park and Nolin Lake State Park, 80 miles of hiking trails at Mammoth Cave National Park, Kayaking on Green River (Mammoth Cave National) and Nolin Lake. For young children Dinosaur World (Cave City) and Kentucky Down Under (Horse Cave). We are located in a rural area, wildlife and the outdoors, on a clear night with no moon the sky is like sitting in a planetarium.
Nolin Lake State Park is only 6 miles from the Cabins. The beach is located there. Briar Creek. We have a restaurant at our office.
There are many outdoor activities in the area within a 15 mile radius. Most just know Mammoth Cave National Park for having the longest cave system in the world. But there are over 80 miles of hiking / horseback riding / mountain bike trails in Mammoth Cave National park. We have a riding stable next door to us providing rides within the park boundaries. There is a golf course two miles from our cabins. Kayaking the Green River in Mammoth Cave National Park is very popular. Six miles from our cabins is Nolin Lake State park which provides a beach, fishing, etc. Zip lining is also available on the other side of the park. Disk Golf is also popular, and of course the numerous caves in the area to explore.
