Staying at the hotel next door and had takeout last night. That Bistro Smash burger was great! Today we stopped in and got the Master Sampler with smoked sausage, brisket, pork sliders, and St Louis ribs…. Wow! All were great and the seasoning on the fries was excellent too!

Very clean and spacious restaurant. Large selection of drinks and beers. Drink order taken within minutes of being seated. Large menu from sandwiches to full meals. Had the haddock plate with fries and hush puppies. Portions of all 3 were large. Fries were cold when food arrived. Had fresh hot fries with in minutes. Very fast service. Fish was lightly breaded and crisp, very good taste. Fries and hush puppies were also hot and tasty. Waitress was very attentive, but over attentive. Will return when in the area.

We ordered the Master Sampler, the only good thing on this plate was the size positions and the ribs where tender. The brisket was way over cooked and dried out, the sausage was so spicy it had no flavor, the ribs where super tender but way over spiced, the bbq was just shameful for nc bbq, and the cole slaw I don’t even know how to desrcibe that taste. The management offered me something different but after tasting this awful plate I wasn’t interested in anything’s else.

We came to Backyard Bistro before a Carolina Hurricanes hockey game and it was awesome! When we arrived the place was packed with fans, as it is before games, since it is walking distance to the stadium. We were told the wait would be about an hour and a half, but after joining the wait list we only waited about 17 minutes for a party of 4. While we waited for our table we got drinks at the bar and visited for a bit amongst a crowd of hockey fans, the bartenders were slammed, but we still didn't wait long for drinks Once seated our server got us drink refills and took out order for some appetizers, he was very friendly and super attentive the entire time we were there. Never once did we wait long for refills or to be checked on, and the entire staff helped each other out, bringing us drinks and clearing plates when needed. We ordered the Redneck Eggrolls and hush puppies with honey butter and pimento cheese to start. Both were delicious. For dinner we got a Chicken Caesar salad, two Mac and Cheese with Briskets, and a Ribeye Steak sandwich. Everything was great! The sandwich had the most tender steak and was cooked perfectly. Even though the salad was ordered when the rest of our items were arriving, it came out really quickly. Thank you for an awesome pregame!

For now we have taken the advice of NCRLA... And follow all current mandates. We do require that all patrons wear a mask unless actively eating or drinking. We do temperature checks on all dine in guests. And seat tables spaced out accordingly. Our staff follows the same protocol. When checking into work. After guest leaves every table and chair is wiped down with cleansing wipes and then sprayed with santizer before reset for the next guest. We also wash and sanitize the menus after each as well as offer digital menu. There are sanitizer stations throughout the restaurant for use as well. If you need more information on what we do with our daily protocols in BOH and FOH please feel free to reach us directly and speak to manager. 9198516203
