We had an absolute blast with Todd on the river. Todd is an energetic and patient professional and made the day unforgettable. Not only was he able to get us onto several fish, he provided such an abundance of knowledge and was an amazing instructor. Even when sets were missed and our casts were poor, Todd kept up spirits and kept helping us improve and learn the craft. We will definitely be back to fish with Ellensburg Angler, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Went for a drift down the Yak with Keaton last week (mid Oct ‘21) - had a blast! He’s a smart angler, been fly fishing for years, knows the local rivers, including some secrets on the Yak! I had 8 rainbows and a whitefish in the net, plus another 8-10 hits that I missed. Keaton is great guide on the Ellensburg team. I’ll be calling him for all my Washington fishing trips.

Amazing day on the river! Caught a TON of luggers and couldn’t keep the slabs off the fly! However, even if I didn’t catch any fish, I would still have had a blast! Todd was patient, funny, and a wonderful guide. He really touched up my casting/technique and was very knowledgeable about the river. He was super helpful in reaching my full fishing potential - which I definitely did today (emptied the Yakima with both dry flies and nymphs!!)

We went as a group. Our guides were all very friendly, knowledgeable and patient! Our package included a lunch. We were pleasantly surprised that the lunch was prepared and served on a little island in the middle of the Yakima river. The meal was great! BBQ steak and chicken, salad, and even a dessert! Definitely a great/fun opportunity. This was my first time fly fishing and I really enjoyed it and felt that I learned a lot.

You need a Washington State freshwater fishing license in order to fish on the Yakima River. If you are from out of state, you will need to purchase a non-resident fishing license. If you have any questions, please give us a call!
