This is not my first purchase. When this place first opened, they had some of the best doughnuts around and at an appropriate price. Yesterday, we stopped by for the first time in over a year and grabbed their special. Over 25 bucks for what endeded up being bland and glazed bread. Cinnamon rolls didn't have any taste until a faint whiff of flavor in the middle. Apple fritters didn't have any apple in 2. Just fritters I guess? The others were just what they had due to limited selection and lack of options. So ended up with nothing anyone wanted to eat. The review is because I seriously would have gotten better at a grocery store bakery for 1/3 of the price. For me, that is unacceptable for a specialty shop. The two stars is simply one for a friendly staff and a second for all the local support I'm willing to give.

Quaint little donut shop in Lexington, NC. On-street parking. Wheelchair accessible. Lots of seating options. Clean. Public bathroom. Bathroom is wheelchair accessible. The toilet paper dispenser is a little out of reach - be prepared to lean. Prices are comparable. Pick any donut, then... pick your filling. They fill them on the spot. Delicious food, friendly staff. Fun for the whole family. They also serve coffee and have a cooler with misc. drink options. #reddonutshop

Very nice owner and super clean donut shop. Lots of donuts! We stopped for an ice cream break then took some tasty looking pastries back to our RV for later. We sure will return during our next camping trip.
