Amazing steak! I ordered rare and I got rare. The marbling was amazingly tender and juicy which is difficult for me to get at restaurants when ordering rare steak. The sautéed spinach was piping hot and delicious and asparagus was flavorful. The tavern was extremely busy, but I sat in the bar area and was served very quickly and my food arrived in no time. All around a great experience.

This is my 2nd village tavern I been to. I like this one better than the greensboro one. The Alfredo and Hot crab dip is outta this world. 10/10 going back. ONLY critique is the sauce was a bit too thin for my preference, but flavor, presentation, portion, and quality are great.

We went to the Village Tavern for dinner on a Friday night. The wait was about 30 minutes and so we walked around the area to look at some of the shops and the nearby "lake", which was more of a swamp at this point. The outdoor seating had a nice atmosphere, but due to the heat and mugginess we choose too sit inside for our dinner. The free dinner rolls are warm and fresh, but the butter packets are typical cold and hard. The ceasar salad with chicken was quite large and could feed two. The cowboy burger was excellent and the fries were average. The salmon fish tacos were good sized and you get two. Overall it was a nice experience and I can recommend this for lunch or dinner to anyone looking for a nice outdoor atmosphere or just good food.

I cannot say enough about the amazing dining experience I had at this venue. The restaurant is located in a beautiful shopping district with serene open spaces and access to the botanical garden. Plan in advance since the wait can be long, but whatever the wait is, it's worth it. Our server David is the exemplar of restaurant service. He was professional, efficient, gracious, responsive and kind. In a packed restaurant, he made us feel as though we were his only customers. You can't go wrong with anything that you choose. The shrimp and grits was the superstar at our table. The flavors were a celebration in my mouth! The wings came to our table with the skin crisp and seasoned, yet saucy. Don't pass up the opportunity to experience this dining experience. Great gluten free options, as well.
