I was here for a mental health issue and everything was great. The nurses and everyone were all very kind and patient. Even the food was good. I also think this hospital is very clean and organized. The only thing that was kinda bad was that I had to wait a long time for a room, but it’s understandable because they probably have a lot of patients. 10/10 experience!

The medical staff, most especially the nurses, were absolutely amazing. For just the nurses I'd give 10 stars. But I'm giving 3 because the first interaction at the hospital is always the security. They have a job to do. And I respect that. But good bedside manners shouldn't just be something the medical staff should practice. NO ONE wants to be at any hospital, let alone one for children. You can still effectively do your job without demeaning, disrespecting, belittling, and judging people that are already in some state of distress. You don't need to be saints. Just be decent human beings with enough empathy and compassion for what the people you're interacting with, are going through.

Don't recommend the night shift nurses don't seem like they care or like children and are ignorant despite waiting 4 hours in the ER and being patient along with 45 other people we got seen and as we waited to be descharged one of the nurses wanted to get us out so bad she was being scandalous outside our door with the other nurses talking about how she was trying to get us out, completely unprofessional all I could hear was them whispering and looking across the hall into our room. Take note that I was waiting for my ID and insurance card otherwise I would have left a long time ago I don't like leaving bad reviews but If I'm putting my child's life on the line I'm better off at a local urgent care.

Yes
If you're asking because you have a child being admitted, you should reach out to the Ronald McDonald House. There are programs for housing and meals for parents. Otherwise the Four Points by Sheraton San Diego is closest, but anything in Mission Valley/Hotel Circle is not far either.
It's just card
And
No, everyone is welcome and there is no discrimination on genders
I'm not a doctor so I can't answer a medical question but usually on the back of your insurance card there's a number for a nurse's hotline you can call and they can give you advice
Parking attendents now leave at 8:30 pm.
I also think it depends on what its for. If yoy are specifically going in there to have your childs blood drawn and tested, probably not. If there is a medical problem , like your child is diabetic, then i would say yes.
Orthopedic surgeons are still in the same orthopedic building. Each branch of medicine has its designated area and surgeons are in each area according to their subject matter. Call the hospital to contact the desired area.
Yes my chart you can log on and request appointments, refills, see labs results. If you need a copy of shots record. Communication with doctors offices.
Yes they do! They have many neonatal programs and a NICU in their main hospital.
The lab is next to the Emergency Department.
