The history of this restaurant is awesome. The food and the staff keep this as a must goto place. To my surprise the prices are very reasonable. Try their specials and you and your family will have a wonderful evening.

A Reading, PA institution - the original place with fresh peanuts on every table and piles of shells on the floor. Food is generally quite good - many of the recipes have been on the menu, untouched, for decades. The wings were voted "in the top 10 in the US" by USA Today - ironically they don't come anywhere close to living up to the hype. Reasonable selection of beer and good cocktails. Desserts are made in-house and tasty. Well worth a visit - one of the bright spots in Reading...

We came on a very busy night due to shows. We were seated quickly and the staff was nice and helpful. Unfortunately the food was not very good. The crab dip tasted like hot mayonaise with raw onions. My husband's veal schnitzel was bland, my fish was undercooked and had to be sent back. I wish I was more impressed with the food as I enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff. It was just not worth the money we paid for the food. I could get similar caliber food at a diner, for about half of what we paid.
