Stayed here for 3 nights back in May. Typical AF Lodging that still place the game of waiting for X number days in row of temperatures above a certain degree before they can switch on the A/C. Needless to say the room was uncomfortably hot. It use to be cheap enough to stay at Lodging to put up with this type of stuff but not anymore. The front staff were fantastic though.

Fairchild lodging is slipping. Their folks are amicable. They try to be accommodating and service-oriented. Unfortunately, I don't feel their leadership team serves them. Recently, our stay was plagued by a defunct card reader. The staff had to let people in their room, but only one was working behind the counter. Abigail was excellent, but where were the backup systems? It's a ridiculous position to put your staff in. Another question? Where was the leadership? If your card machine isn't working, you only have one front desk attendant, and this person must constantly leave to let guests in their rooms; you've got to resource that situation accordingly--if you're short-staffed, leadership should be stepping up and doing the hard yards to support! I get services on our military installations is a benefit of sercice; but fees are charged and while cheaper, in many cases, than outside the gate there is still a cost and out uniformed service members, veterans, and their families deserve world-class service and leadership! Maintain and exceed the standard was the goal when I was serving in the military--what is going on? Do better Team Fairchild Inn!

Front desk can't look up room blocks until manager gets in at 1000L. Certainly doesnt help mass arrival of USAF aircrew and MX from other timezones

The facilities were nice, but the room service lacked quality. I was in bed when I smelled something odd. I looked under the bed and found a good size piece of broccoli. Also, some of the kitchen items were not stocked. And, the carpet in one of the bedrooms was SOAKING wet. I reported it and nothing was done. It smelled it there like mildew. Sorry. Just being honest.
