Requested a refund in May for a CPAP machine because of they are on back order and I would not have gotten my machine in any decent amount of time. 3 months later I call again and the refund was never issued.

I called to ask about getting a breastpump through my insurance as they provided me a list of places I could get it through and Apria was at the top of the list. The woman on the phone was extremely rude, I couldn't even finish my sentence before she interrupted me to ask what my insurance was. When I told Aetna she told me "yeah well we only give breastpumps to people with kaiser" she just generally sounded unhappy to even be speaking to me at all. I understand if you only provide to certain insurances (not sure why my insurance would say they provide them when apparently they dont) but do your people always make it a habit to interrupt people before than can finish their sentence and have a rude tone in general? Hire people that actually know how to customer service.

After two months of calls back and forth and being told the issue was being sent to another department or to a supervisor, I had to contact the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint. Only then did Apria take my order seriously and got me the supplies I needed. I still have not received the machine either. It seems that they are not interested in taking any responsibility for being a reliable health service, knowing that we do not have an option to see another provider because of insurance limitations.

Apria Healthcare is awful. I would not recommend anyone use this company. Their billing department is shady. They charged my account for an amount that was not authorized. I battled for months to get them to give my money back. They did not bill my insurance correctly. They apparently verified my insurance coverage before they would place my order and told me what I owed. Months later they stated that they are not providers on my insurance. Interesting…….They require insurance confirmation but didn’t get it???? Then they charged my account for payment that I did not authorize. But it didn’t end there…This process started in 2019. They said that it was taken care of. Then they send me a refund in April 2021. I thought finally it has been corrected. Wrong…..Today 01-2022 I was notified that they sent me to collections. This company should be held accountable for their awful business practices.

Questions & Answers

I've been on a C-Pap machine before but through a different company. How long will it take for me to get my machine through Apria?

They have a variety of units in stock so it depends if you are paying out of pocket or if your insurance is paying. Call and set up an appointment, it is usually the insurance that holds things up. If you have had your sleep study, been given a prescription and good insurance then you could leave with one that day.

can you provide nursing services to a group home

They do not offer nursing services, they are a provider of medical equipment and they do deliver.
