Not that the venue has control over the forecast, but Spokane had an excessive heat warning, creating multiple days of high 90's and low 100's. Which in return made the venue EXTRA hot. It was miserably hot, because they do not have AC. The Big Dipper did have some fans, but it didn't help much at all. Something to consider if you plan on going to a Summer concert. The venue itself is located in a sketchy area of downtown Spokane. We thankfully didn't have any issues with parking or the safety of our vehicle. The inside was small and dark, but had a cozy vibe and the bathrooms were clean. There are some tables and a large couch for sitting. You can tell the building is old, but it definitely has character. The servers were efficient and friendly. Mad props for working in that heat! The concert itself was fantastic as Satsang was such a trooper and put on an excellent show!

The place is fine but not having AC means it's insanely hot during the summer.

The dipper is a Spokane icon for shows. And it looks like they are still putting good stuff on for us. If you like drinks and music this is your place.
