This is a somewhat rural place, about 15 miles south of Spokane just off of SR 195. At places with a lounge/bar, we always sit in the lounge rather than the restaurant (it's usually quieter) We'd only been there about 10 years ago and it wasn't a very positive experience. We just happened to be near the Harvester recently, when no other places were open, so we gave it a try. We were pleasantly surprised with the friendly atmosphere & the food was good too! We've been back a few times and it has been great every time. Our server has almost always been Joanie...she is outgoing and friendly & seems to be flawlessly handling quite a few sections all at the same time. I suspect this will be a regular stop for us. I would guess that the restaurant section is probably just as welcoming. They are closed on Mon/Tues.

Stopped by and had some lunch. The burgers were good. Fries were great. The blackberry sauce that comes with the mozzarella dippers is AWESOME! I will be stopping by again when I am in the area.

First time I've been here in a long time. This is a old school roadside diner. I love the inside decor. Step into this place and you're stepping into the past. The food isn't bad. Service was ok. The mozzarella cheese dipper appetizer WAS the best thing on the menu, but it's not the same now as it used to be. Still a good place. It's definitely worth checking out! Lot's of character.

It was our first visit, and based on the other reviews, we knew we had to stop in Spangle, WA for a meal at this place right off of 195, whose big sign that just reads "Restaurant" from the highway is like a beacon rising up from the gently rolling hills of the Palouse. Heading back to WSU after a weekend in Spokane, it was the perfect breakfast/lunch stop (we ordered from both menus). It's an authentic American diner with fast, friendly service and generous servings of high-quality diner classics. My huckleberry waffle was the bomb! The fun decor and small selection of vintage items for sale added interest to the visit. Thanks for being you, Harvester Restaurant!! :)

The staff are wearing masks, the tables are 6 feet apart, menus are cleaned in between use, and all high traffic areas are cleaned often.
You could always call them 245-3552
Yes they use gluten products. I did not see gluten free options on the menu. They use flours in their kitchen, so requardless of the meal you order, the potential for someone with a real gluten allergy getting ill is very real. If you have a serious gluten allergy, perhaps you shouldn't be going out to many restaurants anyway.
