Amazing campground. Very similar feel to pennisla state Park. Si close to lake Geneva to enjoy shopy, the lake, and good eating too.

This campground is nice. I honestly don't know what the comments about the low branches and narrow roads are about. I have seen much more narrow roads at private campgrounds. I have a large truck camper, it is 12.5 feet tall and did not have any issues with branches. The only thing I see as a problem is they only gravel about the first 25 feet of the site and if it is raining the rest is mud or grass if you are lucky.

Very clean park and campsites are large, separated by just enough trees and or foliage that each campsite had a bit if "privacy". Only electric hookup, but for most campers, that's all you need. Showers are large and clean. Close to a ton of restaurants if you feel the urge for some night life. Definitely plan to camp here again.

Out of state visitors pay $11 per day in this spot. The parking area is huge, but the bathing one is extremely limited. It called my attention that half dozen people took their dogs to "take a bath" at the same time as families had kids in the water area of the beach. Hopefully, no fleas from those dogs for anyone. The lady that charged for parking stated that the printed receipt that should be on the window would allow to be in the area for the whole day. After family beach time we deepen into the "state park", and it was a complete joke and shame on the park management. Why?? Well for starters in a covered area close to a kids playground there was a birthday party going on. Private party. 100 feet north about 20 teenagers had the completed area seized playing all over. We continued driving to learn that everything else is compartmentalized areas for RV's or parking spots with a barbecue spot. It all was available for another fee. There are tens of high quality restaurants and hotels in the area, that will save you from the nightmare, will offer high quality food, and if you just go for a few hours, I'm positive they will have no problem allowing you to stay in the parking for a short trip to the beach area. In a nutshell, the "Beach" from the state park thumbs up. The parking area with options for family lunch....it was a complete scam in our experience.

Yes, bring your own grill or use one of the existing charcoal grills at the park..
Score of hotels/motels close by and in nearby Lake Geneva. Do a Google search.
Being a state park you should be able to reserve at any point for any date.
Yes you can, but please don't bring your muffler dragging car or truck if you have one.
You must book it online and it will give you the prices for the site that you choose. They do not have firewood for sale as of last week when I was there.
And no boat rental. Numerous places nearby do but not the park.
It has parking at the entrance and in the shower area! But on the site you rent is maximum 2 cars! I hope you see my message and can translate it! 😅
Yes, they have covered picnic areas. They also can be reserved I believe.
Yes.... I believe there's actually 2
We went out the north end of the park and road in the neighborhood.
Alcohol is allowed in campsites and picnic areas for legal age visitors. Not sure where these other folks get that info. From DNR website Wisconsin State Park SystemAlcohol in state parks and forests. With a few exceptions, people of legal drinking age may bring alcoholic beverages along for their picnic or campsite meals in Wisconsin state parks and forests.
In season
I am here now and I do see two tents on several sites.
They only have sites for electric. They have an area where you can put water in and dump your black and grey water. Kind of a pain.
Dogs allowed on leash.
Not for rent by the park but there are numerous boat rentals in town and around the lake
From what I saw it's just kind of first come first serve.
No unofficial fireworks
Cost is $28 /day. Not including the $28/ yr for the state park sticker
There are designated "play areas " and leashing is required around rest of the park.
Nearby is Lake Geneva and the beach on the east shore. The park itself has a pond and hiking, and play area for children. Very close by is all the shops and trappings of the city. Lots of fun!
$18 for a day pass for Wisconsin resident. I think it's $24 for non residents, but not certain. Same price as all Wisconsin State Parks.
Not much of a beach. Better places in Lake Geneva nearby.
Why is the reason that non wisconsin resisents have to pay for an annual camping parking- for one night stay?
The beach at Bigfoot Beach State Park is closed. I confirmed this on the DNRs website.
yes
Bring your own. Buy in Lake Geneva.
Yes
Only problem with this Campground is that you're in the middle of the neighborhood so your campsite is looking into someone back yard stay up front
