My husband and I haven't golfed in years. We've decided in retirement we can enjoy this hobby again. We tried the other golf course in town and it was spendy and trendy (stuffy). So we decided to try the Army base golf course, open to the public and accessible without entering the base. They were helpful, friendly. Much less expensive. For the driving range (which is what we'll be doing for a while!) $3.50 buys a token. The token gets you a small bucket of balls for the range. $60.00 gets you 20 tokens (saving $10). The range isn't fancy but it works and it's not usually crowded. The putting practice green is very nice and offers good challenge and great views! Definitely worth coming out to hit a bucket. I look forward to playing the course, (after MORE practice!).

One of the worst courses I’ve ever played. Just coming from NC I was excited as I know AZ is a Mecca for golf. That being said the course had the front 9 closed for maintenance which held up the pace of play. The driving range was basically hitting off weeds or dirt as it had just been ran through by other golfers. As for the course itself, was very poorly maintained. I know the rough is supposed to be rough but any point you missed the fairway your ball was gone. I came to several tee boxes where the grass wasn’t even mowed for the Orange/Purple tees. I know they aren’t the normal tees the usual golfer here is hitting from but it shouldn’t be that hard to take care of them. I don’t think I will revisit this course and I think there definitely needs to be an overhaul to bring it to the standard of a decent golf course.

I have been here once before in the winter and then again today. To start- the woman in the pro shop was very unfriendly and not the usual pro shop experience you can expect. The tee boxes were not even mowed, the grass was so tall everywhere good luck finding your ball, and the overall condition of the course just seemed so uncared for. I golf at the base golf courses often and this one is definitely one of the worst ones I have encountered. The front nine was closed so we just left after the back half since it was so unpleasant to golf here. I don’t recommend this golf course and I don’t think I will be back either.

No sure how anyone can give this course more than 1 star. Being retired military, I have golfed many military golf courses and have had some wonderful experiences. Not so with this one. It starts with the rude attitude of the lady working in the pro shop. I can honestly state that I have never been treated so rudely at a military activity. The greens were great, but the rest of the course was hardly anything more than a cow pasture. The cart paths were horrible. Can’t really say much more than there is obviously no pride in this course as there is at most MWR courses.

Rates just went up. 35 for 18 holes with cart. Not sure how much for 9.
I don't believe so
