I have been renting vehicles on and off with Enterprise for a couple of months now. I would have given them five stars, had it not been for a small issue I had over the phone with an agent that is sort of a roaming agent throughout their various locations. That being said, and with that one isolated incident, they have been great every time since and before that! Peter, the location manager is as professional as they come! I am not the easiest customer, yet he has always been upfront, transparent, and as far as I am concerned, very honest! He has been an absolute pleasure to do business with! Along with Scott, I know and feel obligated by my own morals to speak on their behalf! Both of them have bent over backwards for me, during each of my renal contracts! I've been upgraded to better vehicles for little or no charge! I've been treated very well, while extending rentals as well as returning them! Like I said before I am not an easy customer to make happy, but I'm pleased to say that both of these fine gentlemen have exceeded all of my expectations. And done it with smiles! I can't say enough kind things about these experiences! This has been happening during a very trying time in my life, while dealing with the passing of my father! They have been very courteous, always speaking on my loss and offering their condolences! I had to upgrade vehicles from a mid size SUV to a truck, so that I could move some of my father's belonging. I was well aware and expected an increase in price between vehicles. Without a mention, they did not raise my charge with vehicle change! They were obviously showing their compassion, which really has gone a long way with me! I will have no issues recommending Peter and Scott to any of my friends or family in need of a rental! As well, I know that I will be back! The hardest part of renting from any of the enterprise locations, is the deposit involve in the upfront charge. it was explained to me very well, as to why it occurs, and they were very prompt in crediting the money back, once I returned the vehicle in one piece. I agree that the charge is a necessary part of renting, once I was informed of why. It was only difficult due to the timing and limited income I have, due to COVID-19. As far as that is concerned also, all of the staff in Ellsworth wore masks and practiced safe distancing. There was an extra disinfecting wipe in each of the vehicles that I rented! The vehicles were all very clean, thoroughly gone thru, and all had very low miles and mostly appeared as new vehicles from outside and in! Overall, it has been an absolute pleasure renting from Peter and his crew, in Ellsworth, Maine. I want to personally extend my appreciation to both Peter and Scott! Thank you guys for dealing with me(I know I can be a pain in the butt). You both handled me in stride and not once waivered from being top notch salesmen and representatives of Enterprise rent-a-car! This has been a very hard time for me, and the extra mile, and kindness I've received, has not gone without notice! You guys have been great! Thank you both for making this experience a little bit easier, all around!

Peter, the manager is great. Takes care of my needs at every turn. I am an extremely long term renter. Almost 2 yrs straight. I get great rates and they get me the vehicle I need for my particular purpose. They have a good no contact system in place for COVID, while I don't really care for it, I am sure people who worry about it appreciate it. They make it painless to rent a vehicle and will usually upgrade you free of charge. Prefer Ellsworth location to Bangor any day, staff is more friendly and personal there.

As a long time customer of Enterprise, I must be fair. They have been an exceptional business to work with. I have been renting from Enterprise for over 20 years. I have been loyal to the point of not even comparing prices with other companies. I rent to the tune of about $4,000 per year. No longer. I am very disappointed given my loyalty to be required to pay these ridiculous "drop" fees. Not $10 or $20 mind you, but in dome cases more than $500. I simply will not pay $1400 for a car rental for 4 or so days. Absolutely ridiculous. I was unaware that business was so good, when I questioned it, I was encouraged to go to your competition. Well, I will. You will not see another penny from my family. ANY OF THEM IN 14 STATES. You see, your not just losing my business, but EVERYONE I know.

We would like to thank Enterprise for picking us up at our Hotel on July 1st 2019 after our car was totaled. Today when we returned the car, our rate was adjusted because of our Insurance coverage. Your company was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. We would definitely recommend you.

Yes, but I think anything over a month might be more expensive than leasing, which they also offer.

Highly unlikely, unless the location you're renting from opens earlier than 8am. You can always call the 1800 number and ask, but I've never been able to.
Ellsworth is open til 12 i think.
