Both roads to get here are currently closed. Per a construction worker at the Fossil Creek Road entrance at the 260 junction near Camp Verde, a transmission line is being installed/construction and may reopen this time next year but not guaranteed (that would be December 2022). From Strawberry/Pine area, closed about a mile into the dirt road due to hazardous conditions, unsure if/when it will reopen.

After 1.5 hrs drive down the dirt road, there is a mile hike to the springs with a river crossing. We were luck the water was still only knee deep. I would check the river level. We saw debris about seven ft up in the trees.

Perfect temperature 😍 went in December at night with some close friends and we were vibing the whole time. Such a rich, cultured, and artistic spot. Easy hike with a knee high wade through the river 3/4 of the way to the hot springs. Actual location is spacious and peaceful. You can learn new things here.

It's a cute spot. It was interesting talking to the people there, who were living out of their cars and bathing in the buff. It's nicely decorated with interesting graffiti. It's a short hike and a river crossing to get to the hot spring, after 16 miles or so in on a dirt road. Camping is available nearby. The spring is quite warm, but a little less than truly hot.

1.no fee. Just a long taxing dirt road. 2. The verde can get deep in sections. The area to cross also varies in depth depending on the season. We have crossed from knee high to thigh high.
For the most part the road is very manageable. The very last portion right before entiring the campsite gets very rough.
I just came back but don't know about the pools below the plant
94° to 104°
We went a few weeks ago and it was open.
Do it it's worth the one minute coldness it's absolutely beautiful down there. The road is pretty rough so be prepared.
Yeah but it looks naaty
It's a really rough trail from the 17. The way through camp Verde is closed off to all vehicles. I got 3 flat tires on my way back up.
