I played a round at Sugarloaf Golf Club on 7/17/22 and had taken note of some of the negative reviews posted previously. I found the staff extremely friendly and accommodating overall. I arrived a couple of hours before and used the range and both of the practice putting greens. Everyone was well aware of the groupings for the day and that there was a group of 20 guys doing a two-day scramble. The course itself was in very good condition. While difficult, it was still really enjoyable. Due to the course layout and the holes not running close to streets or other holes, I've never experienced a quieter round of golf. We literally heard nothing but nature for the 4 hours on the course. (Pacing was never a concern and we never had a group behind us nor in front of us). Definitely worth the trip to experience some of the best golf Maine has to offer!

Course was in immaculate condition. Friendly staff. Nice restaurant with good food. Doesn t get any better than this!

I've been going to Sugarloaf for golf for 10 years now thanks for my golf buddy. Coming from Mass, I tell people this is THE BEST course in Maine. Hands down. Fantastic condition, staff is great, I've never been or felt rushed to play during the round, the club staff is friendly and all around a great course. Do yourself a favor and play 18, then replay the back 9.
