Had breakfast here both days that we were in town for the Maine Lobster Festival. Each day we arrived about 9:30 am and had a minimal wait, chose to sit at the counter both days. My scrambled eggs were cooked with such finesse, ever so slightly on the moist side, just how I like it, and super fluffy. The breakfast potatoes were crisp & perfectly seasoned, and let me tell you, I was born in MA but raised in the south, so I've had and made plenty of sausage gravy, Home Kitchen had the absolute, most delicious sausage gravy I've ever had. The next day I enjoyed the French Toast, and it was great. Their own house made bread had soaked up just enough egg mixture to make for a slight custard middle, exactly how French Toast should be. Hubs had the corned beef hash with over-easy eggs, which was flawlessly prepared, and he tried the polenta. A server told him lots of customers like the polenta with their maple syrup drizzled on it, so he tried it and realized it was really good! It was fascinating to watch the employees coordinating duties, the kitchen and staff ran like a well-oiled machine! Everyone was so pleasant and informative. We're looking forward to revisiting Maine for so many reasons, and another meal or two at Home Kitchen is on that list! If you go & Debbie is there, tell her Debbi sent you 😂😉

This breakfast was incredible! The corned beef is the best in the state. The Bloody Mary is fantastic. The wait can be long but it is worth it.

Highly recommend! Very friendly and fast service, and the food was delicious. Side note: They serve Morse's pickles, which we had never had before, but was probably the best pickle we've ever tasted.

Homemade cooking and busy, overpriced like everything else in Maine. I really enjoyed the Biscuits and gravy The home fries were also delicious. I tried the corn beef hash I liked the way they cook it it was perfect and a good flavor. The rice bowl you need to avoid it remains me of uncle bens microwave rice. Probably should pull it off the menu.
