Worst utilities company in the United States. Have been overcharging customers for years and denying it. Power is constantly going off regardless of how bad a storm is, in fact many times a year power goes out on clear sunny day with no wind. Maine has the worst time of restoration of any state. They say it's because of trees, yet do virtually no cutting back of trees/limbs. In the past week I have been without power for 4 days now on 2 separate occasions. They say it could be another 2 days until we get power. This is totally unacceptable. When hurricanes in Florida and blizzards in Alaska fair better than an average week here, there is something wrong. Buy a generator, or better yet don't even sign up with CMP. Waste of a company.

Update👍 Getting better over the last few months I have seen my bill finally dropping to a more reasonable range and luckily power outages haven't been much as an issue keep up the good work 2 months ago CMP Overbilling practices are ridiculous they just write down random numbers and make people pay it regardless of usages they make me pay even though I have heating assistance that means less money and I can't work 😡 Frequent power outages. Completely outrageous

My bill at my home was consistently 130 in the warm months and about 215 on cold ones for years. Now since last winter we have had bills that range from 185 in the summer to 500; yes they charge me 500$ consistently all winter long. I have a small two bedroom home and a one car garage with K1 for heat in the winter. They have zero explanation as to why and claim it's "normal"... in what world is a 500$ bill normal for a 1200 sqf home.
