Wow wow wow! It was a magnificent view and something I'll never experience the same way. Colorado is full of wonderful opportunities to share with the people you love! Definitely go to Castle Rock! It's illegal to climb, so obviously I don't recommend it and would never admit to doing that. But I would say that it's a lot easier to do from the backside of the rock face.

Pretty cool short hike, I stopped to kill an hour while traveling through. Views from the top are great!

Nice and short "hike" for some beautiful views of Castle Rock. Our girls loved the ease of the hike with the stairs especially since parts were icy as about half of the trial is in the shade. The one downside is that there are no trashcans at the top despite there being benches. Would be nice to not have to carry dog poop the whole time.

We were staying in Castle Rock and decided to go climb up the rock. We went to the summit area which has a picnic table and benches. It is about 1.4 miles to make the loop. We went up and watched the sunset. It was beautiful. Be sure to bring a flashlight if you go up for the sunset.

It is a public park that surrounds, and contains, the rock that the Town of Castle Rock is named for
Dogs are allowed. Make sure they're on a leash though

The last I heard is that the park is closed at night, but you should call the town to confirm.
