I took my 6y/o yellow lab to get her nails trimmed in a first (and last) visit. She gets quite anxious in new indoor places tho only just trembles hard (no aggression). Pet grooming places always have dogs in slings and have blow dryers going so I wanted a more quiet environment. I asked twice before the visit if I could be with her, and told yes. That was not the case. I was not allowed to be with her to help her feel better (told it was a liability issue), and at our parting, she was visibly anxious and trembling. She didn't want to leave me, so they started dragging her down the hallway. I was able to do a "goodbye, I'll be right back" thing and she was led away. She has always held perfectly still for any procedure I am a nurse practitioner and I have always (if ok'd by the patient) allowed a family member to be present for procedures if desired...a potential liability I guess, but if I am not 100% capable of doing a good job, I shouldn't be doing it. In other words, I don't see a liability issue unless a vet tech is not trained well. I did ask the vet tech or person doing the trim (not even sure it was a tech) to stop and call me if there were problems. I asked the front desk person if I could pay for the trim while my dog was having it done, and was told coldly and sharply, "No." Then, "we don't know how many hands it will take." I have had pets for 50 yrs and never encountered this. I told the lady that I asked the vet tech to call me if there were problems...and no one had my permission to hold my pet down for a trim (no need either), but no, I I couldn't pay ahead of time to minimize the time I spent in a cold, unwelcoming, and uncaring environment. The person who brought my dog back into the lobby gushed about how perfect she had been, but my dog and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I know it was a brief experience, and I can't protect my dog from all of the many things she gets anxious about (that's life), but the general vibes of the lobby, the nastiness of the front desk person, the policy that doesn't allow me to be present for my dog, added up to an absolute "never going back."

I was very impressed with Rivers Edge Pet Medical clinic after using their services for the first time today. My dog was seen on an emergency basis. The staff were very helpful and kind. Dr. Hayes was very thorough on her evaluation and going over the results of X-rays and blood work that was take n. I would recommend this group for any pet needs. Thank you again! I really did appreciate you seeing my girl today.

Wonderful staff. My sweet kitty Tesla unfortunately did not pull through but due to no fault of Dr Gibson who worked tirelessly to figure out what was wrong and did an amazing job keeping me updated over the phone every step of the way since I couldn’t be there in person due to having covid. A staff member called to check on her today and was very kind and compassionate when I had to give her the unfortunate update. This experience has been heartbreaking but I appreciate Dr Gibson and the other staff members for being so thoughtful and hard working.

Great people, great service. They were very nice to my cat, and they gave her the things she needed. We had to come here all the way from Eugene because all the other pet hospitals were full. My cat was very happy after receiving treatments.

What time do you open Tues a.m.06/01? My 18th year old dog can't stand today; he is eating and drinking but barking like he (1) wants to go outside-I take him out but doesn't help (2) maybe he's in pain?I think it's time to let him go. Appt?

They are an emergency hospital for pets they are open 24/7 not unless you seen on their website that said that they are closed the specific day
