What a neat experience to actually touch the adobe walls of the this old fort, feel the straw mixed in with the clay, and realize this was blended together by hoofs of oxen troading in a mud pit to mix the adobe. It also was amazing to stand there, follow the outline of the fort with my eye, and actually get a feeling of how large the fort was.

I really liked this place , the fact that its the actual remains of the fort , and that its still standing over 150 years later is amazing ... I am a historical reenactor for French Indian war time period ( which this was built long after that war) but this would be a great place for reenactments to take place to help raise money to keep it up and preserved ... But thats just my 2 cents worth

It has a lot of information and it's really cool to actually stand inside the doorway and yard of the fort, and imagine how things were back then.

Worth stopping at, it's a quick five minute break and you can see a fort! How can you go wrong!?
