This is such a great hole in the wall. The ambiance is so unique, almost like an apothecary. The service is amazing and the staff clearly love their jobs and take them very seriously. When one of the waiters delivered our appetizer, he even said “this looks really good!” 😂 The food and drinks are amazing. They have a relatively small menu, but everything is crafted to perfection! And, I truly mean crafted—for taste and the experience (for example: smoking drinks & seeping lavender in your tea mixed drink for a second flavor profile). That being said, the prices are very reasonable. I felt like I was pampered here, yet we only spent ~$150 with tip for 2 (4 drinks, 1 app, 2 entrees). I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be bringing friends & family here again!

This was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had in Pittsburgh. Cocktails were strong and well thought out. My wife and I tried the heirloom carrots, pork belly, gemelli, lamb ragu, meatloaf. All were fabulous. Atmosphere, staff, service, and food were all superb. Cannot recommend enough.

Fig & ash has a warm, cozy atmosphere on the inside and a spacious outdoor tent with heaters. The Gemelli pasta was so delicious - truly to DIE for, I’ve been dreaming of it. I don’t know why they offer a small and large portion of it because everyone should just order the large. We had a few other dishes that weren’t particularly standout and just okay imo, especially for the price (e.g., I don’t think the double cut pork chop was the best pork that I’ve had, but the leftovers made for a great fried rice). I would return mainly for the gemelli pasta. Of note -- our server was also lovely.

Always wanted to visit and finally got the chance. Was not disappointed! Went for a weekday dinner. Beverage program was pretty snazzy. Good wine list, by the glass or bottle. Mixed drinks are great as well! Service was good. Food was tasty. Salads. Pastas all cooked well and delivered on time. Skipped the dessert but I’ll snag that next time.

What are the Covid safety practices like here?

Great question! We do the required 6’ spacing, limited capacity, mask wearing. We’ve also shut down due to possible contamination’s and also had any employees who potentially came in contact with someone that was positive, it was 14 days after their negative test they were allowed to return. We have had 2 ACHD covid inspections and had a perfect score both times. -Chef Cory

They are not. But I highly suggest making a reservation and going for dinner Tues-Sat 5-10.
