Stayed at Cowan Lake State Park just a few miles away. Never been to a "dog park" like this. There are so many trails, open areas. You can't see it all in one day. Total pooch paradise ! We have a 10 year old rescue German Shepherd who has never been well socialized, so we have to keep him on lead with a muzzle on trails. At the entrance area, there is a great spot for your critter to run free and swim as you keep an eye on other visitors. Stopped in several times and so very grateful for a park like this ! There is a donation box at the entrance gate. Please donate what you can, clean up and enjoy !

this park is more ope and taken care of.. the one in town no one cleans up after their pets and some ant other dog friendly at all

Wow! What a wonderful dog park! Took our two dogs here for the first time today and we all loved it! Has a huge open area with a pond, a few tunnels for the dogs to play in, and even wooded walking trails- all fenced in. Several benches and seating areas throughout. No other dogs there, but they didn't mind. Plenty to explore! Recommend wearing old shoes or boots if it has just rained because it is a bit soggy in some areas and the trails were muddy.
