Store Manager Brian Weaver helped ruin a child's birthday party. I called the store and spoke with a manager to inquire if I could bring in some birthday balloons I'd bought on Amazon and have them filled with helium. They explained I could bring in any balloon, and that I'd just be paying for the helium used. Upon arriving at the store the following morning (day of the party), Weaver had instructed staff they would not be allowed to let customers have outside balloons blown up. I realize there have been helium shortages, but what difference does it make if I buy a balloon at Fred Meyer or buy one from somewhere else? I asked the person at the floral counter if I could speak with the store manager, as a manager the night before had already told me I could bring in the balloons. He flatly refused to meet with me. In either case - store balloon versus 3rd party balloon - I would have paid for the same helium. Willingly. I would have likely even paid an upcharge for bringing my own balloons as well. For reference, I needed 6 average-sized balloons, not a truckload. His refusal to honor what his managers promised, and unwillingness to discuss the matter with a customer in the store has cost Fred Meyer my business.

This Fred Meyer has really gone down hill in recent years, in particular, the pharmacy. The store floors are filthy. The pharmacy no longer takes good Rx. (No warning) Prices are now double what they were just last month. This Kroger giant has lost my respect and my business.

I have been a Fred Meyer customer for several years. I was very disappointed to see that they are allowing people without masks at the store. The staff should be more proactive at enforcing Government requirements, wearing a mask is not comfortable but it's a matter of public health specially when we are facing Omicron.

This place is looking really good though their remodel. They have a beer growler bar in the back(see picture) and they have updated all their departments, including a real meat and seafood department. I'm very happy about this makeover ..... looks better than the makeup they put and Grandma before they chucked he in the dirt.
