Poor customer service doesn’t begin to describe this company. They know they have a monopoly based on your address and know they are your only option. They will agree to one thing the change it on the day agreed upon. From the initial account set up to weekly pick up to closing your account and beyond they are by far the worse utility to work with in Spokane. Good thing they are a waste disposal company because they are garbage.

Absolutely, zero customer acumen. Renting a 40 yard container from Sunshine Disposal and Recycling has been one of the most expensive and maddening experiences. First, after we asked Sunshine, confirmed we can fill the container to the top as long as the lid could close. Then, Sunshine returned to pick up the container and informed us they could not pick it up the container because their truck was incapable. They charged us for coming out. Then, they tell us we have to pay to have half the contents removed. Then, we had to re-hire an excavator to unload the container contents by over half. At the costs of renting from Sunshine, we could've called a hauling company with an excavator remove all the debris. Sunshine has nickel and dimed us since the beginning of this experience with extra fees, charges, time and miscommunication all to their benefit. This is extremely frustrating and dishonest.

I was thinking I had a one-time bad run-in with these guys, but after reading these reviews, I figured I'd throw in my two cents. I never received my FIRST bill. You can't even set up an account online without a statement number, which means you need your bill to pay your bill. Since I figured they probably hear that "excuse" all the time, I sucked it up and figured I'd pay the late fee when I received a notice. I never did. Instead, I got a BLANK note on my door that showed my service (garbage, yard, recycling). Didn't even state what their intentions were, but given I knew the payment would be late, I guessed they were going to shut my service off. I called customer service, received my statement number so I could pay online (since I STILL hadn't received a bill). I had about a $30 or $40 late fee. Even though I had paid the bill, they still came back and took my cans and shut my service off. When my husband called, they said that since the payment was made on the weekend, their drivers had no way of knowing. While this is understandable, modern technology does make it so you COULD generate a CURRENT report every morning, but whatever. Then they told me husband that the cans would not be returned until Thursday (this was Monday), which means we missed our window for yard work. Fine. Whatever. Then they said they would STILL charge the $50+ fee because they "had" to pick up the bins. I can't even fight that unless I want my bins back. No pun intended, but that's garbage. And piracy. I'm a very patient person, and I'm understandable when it comes to running a business, but this was a massive inconvenience. Not to mention the fact that they just made at least $100 off of me. Imagine if they did that a few times a week.

These crooks will hound you and hound you and hound you with miss billings. They won't pick up your trash, won't pick it up on time, miss you entirely, and then the next week when you have extra trash, not only will they not take off the bill for the week they missed, they'll try to overcharge you for an overfilled can. They even take pictures of your trash. It's an elaborate billing tactic to screw over the general public. Run and run fast from Sunshine Disposal. If only we could get an honest company to win the trash bid.

Yes it does.
No, this location is a dispatch center. Not a disposal site.
