Some years ago I call a number of transmission places in Eugene and Springfield, Oregon for quotes on rebuilding my 1992 Dodge pick-up , transmission ,which I had already diagnosed it having cuttings in the oil. Cordray's quote was one of the higher quotes, but I liked the way they talked to me with straight honest answers. Anyway they totally rebuilt my transmission, showing me all the parts they replaced and why, beings I am a mechanic of fifty years, and could understand what they were talking about. The surprise came when I received the bill and it was one thousand dollars below the quote. The reason was two years prior to this rebuilt, it was rebuilt by a company in Cottage Grove, which I took it back too twice for problems. When they rebuilt it they installed most of the new updates, which pass reuse guild lines for this overhaul. Cordray's did not know about the updates that were in the original quote. There it is honesty and integrity. They do all my transmission serves and more. MC In 2020 I talked to Tom about a VE fuel pin kit in my 1992 dodge. I had Cordray's Continental do it. In 2021 covid hit so I did little driving, but in 2022 I loaded up pick-up and trailer with quads and camping equipment. Going down to Arizona in Jan, we had to take the 101 highway because of snow on I-5, so the hills were not to demanding, but on the way back was I-5 with 5 passes. It was so cool to set the crews control and hear the turbo come in without loosing speed on every pass. WOW what a difference from years pass. Thanks guys for great drivability..... MC

Excellent experience! I was told by another repair shop that I needed a new transmission ($10K+)!! Brought the car to Cordray's and they diagnosed and found it was a solenoid circuit fault - they repaired the broken connection for less than $500.00!! Car runs Great again!!! Can't get any better than that...!!!

Called to inquire about regearing my truck for more torque on the ground, the guy who answered was polite and courteous. Word is the first interaction you have with a business decides if you'd use them or not and I was prepared to make an appointment. Unfortunately if you are a bit of a nut about the parts that go in your vehicle and like to supply your own, they won't install supplied parts. Bummer, but have to respect that it would sometimes result in folks bringing in the wrong items etc. costing time and time is money. I'd definitely have given them my business based on the short phone interaction, so definitely worth a call if in need of a repair. Good reviews, polite folks and hopefully awesome work.
