This is such a great shop, full of great yarns. They have a great selection of Quince and Co., as well as some local Maine yarns. Staff is friendly but not too chatty or aggressive in the sell- letting me browse at my leisure.

There aren't really any yarn shops close to my own home, so it was quite nice to visit one with such a beautiful selection while bopping about Portland on vacation. My mother and I found quite a few skeins that struck our fancy and there were many more we would have loved to take home. This is high quality yarn and all comers should expect prices that reflect as much.

A great store with wonderful staff and lovely selection of yarns. I love that they had so many local yarns, it made for a great souvenir experience. I didn't grab enough yarn for my project, so I placed an order online. They were fast with shipping and were able to match my dye lot request. Definitely worth checking out.

We accept buoy local cards which can be purchased on-line (https://www.buoylocal.com/buy/) or at Bangor savings bank. The card is recognized at many local businesses in Portland and elsewhere in Maine. If you bring the card to the shop, we'd be happy to "wrap" it in a KnitWit envelope!
