Wow. Went 15 minutes before my appointment time to get a real ID. Was back on the freeway before my appointment time! In and out less than 10 minutes. Why hasn't it been like this always? Plenty of parking, screened outside for your appointment information before you go in, very smooth, very slick. Big change from years ago.

Oh my goodness, when did the DMV become a fun place to be? Where have I been? My license expired and I had to go to the dreaded DMV, I was NOT looking forward to this. I scheduled an appointment thinking, no, knowing it was pointless and I would be there all day fighting with them. I made the appointment pretty easily online (1st surprise). When I showed up, the lines were well marked, leaving no question as to what to do. Within minutes I was talking to an employee about the purpose of my visit. 2nd surprise, HE WAS KIND AND FUNNY! I forgot my confirmation number to my application and he was OK with that, no scolding or anything! He gave me my number and assured me when they called my number the next employee would be able to scan my license and find my application (yeah right I thought). Again, literally within minutes, my number was called! And yes, in fact, the employee found my application with no problem! What is that, my 3rd surprise?! This lady was kind and funny too!! She processed my paperwork and somehow managed to keep me from having to take a written test! I then proceeded to get my picture taken with, yes you guessed it, (or maybe you didn't based on prior experiences you've had with the DMV)I got another friendly employee! 4th surprise! Biggest surprise of all? Start to finish, this visit took me exactly 15 minutes! The complete turn around on how the DMV is run and staffed has left happily surprised! Way to be amazing DMV! thank you to everyone today, you are all awesome examples of human beings and I appreciate the actual FUN I had today!

It has been years since my last visit to Fullerton DMV. I came on a Thursday for DL renewal, I was prepared for at least 2 hours here but ended up with only 20 min! It is soooo different right now! Great experience, clean and organized environment, and smooth and efficient process. So proud!

For a Friday afternoon the total time that I spent there was about 20 minutes for a vehicle registration renewal. Service was really good from outside to get your ticket for non-appt. then inside with a lady to do the payment.

You can do as you like, for example, go to the DMV with or w/out appt. DMV Fullerton are professionals and are the best.
