It's shocking to me and disappointing to learn that this restaurant essentially is refusing to serve my wife. For this reason, she cannot go to the restaurant to sit there and eat dinner. Isabel is the stroke survivor. We have not eaten at a restaurant that I can remember since her stroke. If she wants something from a restaurant I call up ask for them to prepare the food and I go and pick it up. So this is New Territory for me. We've lived in Salem Oregon for just about 3 months and in the 15 years since my wife's stroke in 2007 I have not come across the situation in which a restaurant is either unable or unwilling to provide carry out food for someone if they aren't able to come and dine in. One might think that when Rob the restaurant manager told me and no uncertain terms that the owner will not budge on this issue, and that the restaurant is just not willing to budge on this issue. Even though I told them my wife's disabled and I'm asking for a reasonable accommodation, that they allow me to come and purchase the food and take it home. Frankly, it smacks of discrimination. This was my second call to the restaurant because I don't like to press the issue if there's some problem with accessibility regarding my wife's disability. Certainly a restaurant owner can run his restaurant the way he likes and I bet it is wonderful to eat there. However a restaurant owner is not allowed to bend the Americans with disabilities act. I cannot imagine that this restaurant gets very many requests for reasonable accommodations under the Americans with disabilities act. As a soul caregiver for a severely disabled stroke survivor, I find this policy severely short-sighted--. To say the least. One might argue that there are plenty of restaurants and I should just take my business elsewhere. This is the second Italian restaurant here in Salem Oregon that has refused to let me pick the dinner up to bring home to my disabled wife.

Had a fantastic experience da Vinci restaurant! Everything looks so good I wanted to order one of everything on the menu. Our server Joshua was absolutely incredible! He made excellent suggestions, was so very personable he was even entertaining, I’ve gone back numerous times because the food is so good and the service is absolutely stellar! Whenever I go back I want to sit in Joshua section but all of the servers are really really wonderful! I had a halibut cheeks… Oh my!!! YUM! And all the appetizers were Delicious

We started off drinks, one of them was wrong and had to be sent back. That wasn't so bad, but then we ordered appetizers. The lobster appetizer was not served with the others and showed up with our dinner. We sent that back. The dinners were not hot when served and not up to the quality you would expect from an upscale restaurant. My lamb entree was $48 and was luke warm at best. Same with the veal that my wife ordered which was kind of chewy. This was our anniversary and it turned out to be a disappointment. Service was bad and the meal just wasn't worth the money. What more needs to be said.

It is sort of frowned upon. Most folks dress up here. I don't know if they would turn you away for being too casual
$100.. don't skip dessert! The bread pudding is an absolute must!
The food is cooked, and well prepared, and for that there is a fee.
No there isn't a strict dress code. It feels dressy in there though, so you will feel out of place if you don't wear something sort of nice.
