Felt like I was in 1931... but it was okay the I'm in and interracial marriage. The atmosphere is top tier. Our waitress was great and I appreciated how hard her and the bartender were working. The signature Old Fashioned is the way to go.

We got there late on accident (we booked for Saturday at 7 pm, and we were there around 720, we thought we reserved for 730) and still accepted us to sit there which was nice. It was not busy. The drinks were very strong, and not great. The server was nice when they finally came over, but did not come back to check on us and we had to close out the bar. Overall, it wasn’t really worth the money. The vibe was very much a speakeasy—dark and dim though.

Only been to a few speakeasy locations around the country and this is probably my favorite one. The entrance is pretty sneaky (tip, ask the staff in the hotel for the entrance) and after entering the main lounge, it was what I pictured. Super chill environment, super comfortable seating and the drinks were fantastic. Bathrooms were also super clean and individual rather than like big group bathrooms at most bars. Will definitely frequent this location again!

Highly recommended. Come here if you're in the Midwest, much less Kansas city. The good: they ensure that it does not get crowded. Cocktails are fabulously made. Love the seating arrangements. The meh: not cheap but not as expensive as you might expect. The bad: bring a flashlight to read the menu. The intimate and quiet atmosphere comes at a price, which is that you may be waiting a while.
