Car campers not allowed so was turned away. However the manager was very kind and apologetic. Decided I’d stay for a while since I had driven hour plus. It didn’t last long since the gnats drove me away - even with coats of big spray. Dog friendly and everyone has theirs on leash - which was really great as most dog owners do not pay attention to this rule.

This place is on Virginia's northern neck near Tappahannock. It's fairly secluded and not a big crowd. I understand they rent trailers for overnight stays. I went here on a cloudy, rainy day so that may be part of the reason of small crowds. The beach is on brackish water and the water was warm but not like the Gulf of Mexico. The store didn't have much in it. The fees are 8.00 per adult and 4.00 for children.
